Who needs Vegas shows when you have Pirate’s Adventure Dinner so close to home?
Bizmommy and family were delighted to be invited back to the Pirate’s Adventure Dinner in Buena Park. Last time we were there it was the holiday season so we saw the Christmas show. It was so amazing that we couldn’t wait to see the show they ran the rest of the year. It did not disappoint.
This event is better than any production around because, first of all, the show is spectacular and second, unlike other theaters, you get served a great dinner as well. And, the price of the ticket isn’t much more than you would normally pay for a nice dinner.
I remember being impressed with the set before and the enormous 18th-century Spanish galleon was just as awe-inspiring the second time around. If you have never been, you can’t even imagine the size and detail of this spectacular stage.
The performances as well were nothing less than the quality of the best Vegas show. It had humor, music, acrobatic high-flying stunts and intricately and thrillingly choreographed fight sequences.
The best part was the audience participation. Each section of the audience cheered on a different color pirate (we were orange). Some members of the audience even got to participate in the show, with costumes and all!
There is a pre-show during which they serve hors d'oeuvres in the bar and gift shop outside the theater. The dinner is simple yet tasty. You can choose chicken or beef and you get an appetizer, main course, drinks and dessert. After the show you can party with the cast and other guests at the bar outside the theater where they have all manner of libation and music.
All in all, this is a very fun night out for the entire family and it is reasonably priced! We’ll be back for sure.
